Our Story

The Cake World traces its origins back to 1966 in the historic Chettinad town of Karaikudi. Our journey began with Charles Amul Rusk, whose baked delights—under the brand Charles Biscuit Company—were cherished across Tamil Nadu. As the brand evolved into Charles Bakery, it became a beloved name in Karaikudi, expanding with multiple branches that continue to serve customers to this day.

Carrying forward this proud legacy, the second generation introduced advanced Frosting Technologies and modern cake designs, backed by professional training in Baking Science and Confectionery from Germany and Canada.

In 1998, The Cake World was launched in Chennai, bringing a new era of creative, delicious, and high-quality cakes to the city. What started as a single outlet has grown into a renowned retail cake brand, celebrated for its exceptional taste, artistic designs, and outstanding customer service.

Today, The Cake World proudly operates 21 company-owned outlets across major locations in Chennai, along with 9 exclusive outlets inside leading IT parks such as Accenture, Cognizant, and HCL, delighting the city’s growing IT community.
